CIIAM 2022

El CIIAM 2022 will be the meeting point for integration of views of the entire industry on topics of greatest interest for our time.

Our mission is to convene, industry executives and officials, as well as government entities in Mexico or abroad, providing them with a forum to communicate and integrate while allowing them to be aware of the ongoing changes in the business environment so that they can make better fundamental decisions. Further, it can serve as a successful model that can be implemented across country, to help achieve synergy between various functions such as:

Alberto Piñones has 25 years of experience in the automotive sector, he serves as vice president of Lear Corporation Structures Mexico Division, where his work in the position earned him to be elected by the Cluster Board of Directors; In addition, he is academically trained at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he has two master's degrees, one in Administration and the other in Manufacturing. He is also the leader of the Coahuila Automotive Industry Cluster (CIAC) for the 2021-2022 period.

Arturo Álvarez

Arturo Alvarez joined Aptiv in January 2019 as Vice President and Managing Director for the Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) in North America. Most recently, Arturo acquired additional responsibilities as President of Aptiv Latin America and Managing Director for the Americas EDS based in Juarez, Mexico. Arturo started his Engineering career in the aerospace industry in 1994, as manufacturing engineer for the F-16 aircraft wiring harness business segment. In 1995, Arturo joined United Technologies Automotive, later acquired by Lear Corporation. Throughout his 24 years at Lear Corporation, he worked in multiple areas, including human resources, quality, engineering and operations for several business segments including Electronics, Terminals & Connectors, and Wiring Harness. Between 1995 and 2018 he held various positions at Lear, including department and regional manager, plant manager, operations director and operations vice president.

Bernardo Valenzuela

Mr. Valenzuela spent 16 years at Navistar as part of the Navistar Financial Corporation team, after which he served as the CEO of Navistar Mexico, where he was named vice president of global truck sales from 2008 to 2014. He was later appointed Vice President of Exports, President of Mexico and Global Operations for Navistar International Corporation.

Francisco Garza

With a history of more than 23 years in the Automotive Industry in Mexico and in various countries. In 1998 he joined General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC) where he held the position of Operations Manager, being responsible for the launch of the Extended Warranty Program in Mexico. In 2001, he was promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing for Mexico, he was responsible for the strategy of financing programs for General Motors. His first international assignment was in 2005 when he was promoted as Chairman of the Board and General Manager for GMAC in Ecuador; After this assignment, he was appointed Chairman of the Board and General Director for GMAC in Argentina and, in 2009, he took the position of Chairman of the Board and General Director of GM Financial Mexico, being the first Mexican to take the reins of this business. In 2011 he was appointed Vice President of Sales, Service and Marketing for General Motors of Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, and as of September 1, 2019 he was promoted to President and CEO. In this position he is responsible for both Export and Domestic Market businesses. General Motors has been in Mexico for 85 years, selling Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac vehicles and has production plants in Coahuila, Guanajuato, SLP, State of Mexico; a Regional Engineering Center, Parts Warehouse in Toluca and Corporate Offices in CDMX; being the number one employer in the industry with 21,000 direct employees and the main producer and exporter in the sector.

Guido Vildozo

Guido Vildozo manages the automotive light vehicle sales forecast for the Americas for the Automotive Group at IHS Markit. Vildozo´s primary responsibility is to monitor industry trends and to develop the light vehicle sales forecast for the Americas market. To this end, he looks at the impact of product planning and strategy - as well as regional political and economic factors - on vehicle demand. Guido specializes in manufacturers' product cycles, production capacity constraints, investments and import-export strategies.

José Abugaber

Abugaber Andonie owns the Calzado Comando company, founded more than 80 years ago. Together with their brother, they are the third generation of a family of industrialists that has generated more than 700 sources of direct employment. With more than 25 years of experience, he has been president of the Industrial Chamber of Footwear of the State of Guanajuato and of the Business Coordinating Council of León, he has had the opportunity to serve industrialists and the productive sector of his state and Mexico, of Likewise, he has been part of the Board of Directors of Concamin for 12 years, which has allowed him to know the challenges and problems of the national industry.

José Medina

Medina is founder and president of the Board of Directors of CompuSoluciones, a wholesale company integrating information and communications technology solutions, professor at IPADE (Instituto Panamericano de Alta Direccion de Empresa), and participates in the advice of several companies such as Endeavor de Occidente, Nafinsa and Banamex. Graduated in Civil Engineering, he has two master's degrees from Stanford University (in systems engineering and another in finance), as well as a doctorate in Engineering Project Management from the same university. Medina has been listed among the 100 most important entrepreneurs in Mexico, and in 2011, the business organization EY named him Entrepreneur of the Year in the information technology sector, and in 2012, Endeavor de Occidente recognized him for his business career.

She was a research assistant at the UNAM Legal Research Institute, later in 2011 she was the National Coordinator of Morena Jovenes y Estudiantes. From 2012 to 2015 she was a Federal Deputy in the 62nd legislature, in which she participated as secretary in the Labor and Social Welfare commission. She has participated in various publications, among which "From the minimum wage to the living wage" stands out, and has collaborated in various print and audiovisual media. She has been a professor of Collective Labor Law.

Luis Lozano

Luis Lozano Olivares has been president of Toyota Motor de México since August 2020. Previously, Mr. Olivares held the position of senior director of external affairs and general compliance counsel for Toyota Motor Sales de México. He is now responsible for Toyota's public affairs in Mexico, including the areas of regulatory and government affairs, legal, compliance, foreign trade, communication, and corporate social responsibility for the company's manufacturing and sales operations in the country. Lozano came to Toyota in 2005, and since then he has held various positions within the company, both in sales and manufacturing, which have allowed him to have a holistic understanding - as he calls it - of the market. He also represented the company in the so-called joint room that accompanied the Mexican negotiators during the renegotiation of the new T-MEC.

Mrs. Barreiro has held the presidency of Daimler since April 2021, thus becoming the first woman to assume this position. Marcelo Ebrard Casaubón

Marcelo Ebrard Casaubon has wide experience in public service and as an elected official. He was Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs (1993-1994) before being elected to the 57th Legislature of the Mexican Congress (1997-2000). In the former Federal District Government, he was Director General of Interim Affairs (1988-1989), served on the Council of Advisers to the Head of Government (2000-2002), and was Secretary of Public Security (2002-2004) and Secretary of Social Development (2005). He was elected Head of Government of the Federal District (Mayor of Mexico City) for the 2006 – 2012 period, where he expanded social programs for underserved communities, shaped a progressive environmental policy, enhanced urban mobility and strengthened Mexico City’s cosmopolitan identity, receiving the 2010 World Mayor award for these achievements. He chaired the UN-Habitat Global Network on Safer Cities, advising local authorities on urban safety and encouraging the participation of citizens to reclaim public spaces. Secretary Ebrard Casaubon holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from El Colegio de México and studied Public Administration at the École Nationale d’ Administration in Paris, France.

Oscar Dominguezis president of Lear Mexico operations and a 34-year veteran of the automotive industry who began his career as a production supervisor in United Technologies Automotive in a Mexico wiring facility. He joined Lear nearly 20 years ago as a director of wiring operations in Mexico and has since held several leadership positions around the world in our Seating and E-Systems Operations. Oscar earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the Instituto Tecnologico de Chihuahua and a Master of Engineering Management from Michigan University. He is also actively involved in his local community and serves as President of United Way Chihuahua.

Between 1989 and 1997 he held various positions in the public administration in San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León.
